Dear Nimmi Akki….Our whole family sends their heartfelt condolences and remembers Aunty Siththi fondly. Here are some of the tributes shared:
From Gillian: “Beautiful obituary Radhi – thank you for sharing. Her family have acknowledged her with love. Remember her with love – a gracious and unassuming lady who kept the 24/7 watch over Deal Place A with her strategic location!”
From Sonia: “She was an old resident of that cul-de-sac, so unassuming and old school. A life well lived. May she rest in peace. I remember her niece who was living with her – always smiling sweetly.”
From Chris: “So sad to hear of her passing – she must have been a long standing resident of Deal Place A. She was so unassuming that she never spoke of her past being a matron at the Eye Hospital operating theatre – May she rest in peace.”

Dear Nimmi Akki,
For as long as any of us can remember, the view of Deal Place was never complete without the presence of Aunty Siththi. ❤️ She was the lady by the window—our ever-vigilant sentry, a constant in a world that never stopped changing. 🙂
To know Aunty Siththi was to respect the brilliance of her mind. 💐 Even as the years rolled by, her intellect remained as sharp as ever, missing nothing and remembering everything. She was a legend of our neighborhood, a keeper of stories, and the quiet heart of a sprawling family. 💫Our hearts go out to those who feel this void most deeply. 🤗
We offer our deepest condolences and strength to you, Manju Akka, and Sharma Akka (Who cared for her and shared in the daily rhythm of her life). 🤍
Our sympathies to all her Nieces, Nephews and extended family, spanning across the globe, united today in grief and remembrance. ❤️🩹
Though the window may now be empty, the warmth of her presence remains in every corner of Deal Place and in the hearts of everyone lucky enough to be known by her. 💕
”A life lived with such vigilance and clarity leaves a mark that time cannot erase.”
May her soul rest in eternal peace 🙏🏽

It is with deep sadness that I learned of the passing of our dear Aunty Siththy. She was more than a neighbour to us- having lived next door for over 50 years, she was a constant and cherished presence in our lives. I have known her for as long as I can remember, and I hold many fond memories of her from our days at Deal Place. She will be remembered for her kindness, warmth and willingness to help others. Her gentle presence will be deeply missed, but her memory will always remain in our hearts. May she rest in peace.
Nimmi and Shyama/ Akka please accept our deepest condolences.
