Mrs. Paranithi Arulrajah (Baby)
Formerly of Chundikuli, Jaffna,. passed away in Colombo on Thursday 6th April 2023.
Loving wife of late Balasingam Arulrajah (Retired Postmaster) cherished mother of Dr. Deborah Packsmala (Packsho) (UK), mother- in- law of Dr. James Gnanarajah (UK) and grandmother of Dr. Shane Gnanarajah (UK).
Daughter of late M. A. Kanthapoo and Anna (nee Samuel) of Pearl Bank, Forest Office Lane, Chundikuli, loving sister of Dr. Paramothayam (UK), late Gnanothayam (Jaffna), Thayanithi De Soyza (UK), late Kirupanithi Arulpragasam (Jaffna) and aunty and mami of Shanthi, Ajantha, Brenda, Rabin, Beno, Devaka, Priyo and Nesan.
Alumna of Chundikuli Girls College, graduate of Lady Dock College – Madurai, India and retired Principal and teacher of Kopay Christian College, Jaffna, Sri Lanka.
VISITATION AND THANKSGIVING SERVICE:
Viewing: Monday 10 April from 8 am at AF Raymond funeral parlour, Sirimavo Bandaranaike road, Colombo 8, Sri Lanka
Funeral service: Monday 10 April at 10 am at AF Raymond funeral parlour followed by burial at Borella Cemetery, Methodist section at 11am.
Celebration of life service :
A memorial Service will be held at Moore Road Methodist Church at 11 am on Wednesday 12 April followed by lunch at the church hall.
Mrs. Paranithi Arulrajah will be missed and fondly remembered by her family, relatives, friends, and students across the globe. Baby aunty / mami is a talented person and will be remembered for her needle work, cookery, hair styles and her readiness to aid anyone who needs a helping hand.
Please accept this obituary notice from the Arulrajah/ Gnanarajah family and request the relatives and friends to uphold the family in prayers and pray for their Amma’s soul to be in eternal repose with Jesus.
