  1. My deepest sympathies to Randy and the family.
    Swendrini was a deeply loved gentle lady by all at Air Lanka and I had the privilege of working with her from 1980 to 1982. Her giggles and her calm and beautiful personality will always be treasured by me. She was one of a kind.
    I was in the UK in Oct last year and communicated with her and was to meet up but it never happened due to my rushing around, which sadned her. I wish I saw her one last time.
    She will always be in my thoughts as a genuine caring friend. May her soul rest in peace.

  2. It is hard for me say goodbye to a dear friend and sister in Christ. I thank the Lord for having given me opportunity to have shared my teanage years with Swendrini. The time of life where you have so many unanswered questions and uncertainties. Together we tried our best to reason out things and find out the best way to overcome the difficult times. We also had are share of happy days. One thing about Swen is that even though she looked fragile she was a rock to lean upon for us as friends, to her family and church members. Indra aunty, Morgan, Shirani, Dharshini, Suzanne, Randy, Dan and the kids, Swen never liked goodbyes and this is how she would have wanted to pass away..
    May God give you all abundance of grace in this time, till we meet up in glory. God bless you all

    I never had contact with my Chundikuli batch. But still remember Swendrini.

  4. To Randy, Suzanne, Indra Aunty and the rest of the family;

    Please accept our Deepest Sympathies on your loss of Swen. I was shocked to get the sad news from Sam Anna. I am so sorry that I could not catch up with her the last time I was in the UK. She sent me a message after my return and I promised her that I would set aside some time for a good visit the next time.

    I have lots of memories of Aloma and Swen sitting next to each other in class and talking and laughing about the Chavakachcheri commute. We shared many giggles when we were in school and were blessed to be able to catch up with each other after that too.

    My husband sends his condolences to all of you. Swen attended his Chemistry classes for awhile.

    I am praying that God would heal your broken-heart as you mourn her loss. Psalm 147:3. I am also praying that God would carry you through this time of grief, and that you would be able to experience His peace and comfort in a mighty way.

  5. Please accept my deepest condolences on the passing away of dear Swendrini, your beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandma and a friend.

    It is with sadness I write these words hoping it will bring comfort to you all.

    I remember Swendrini from Chundikuli Girls’ College as a pleasant quiet girl with her hair braided with two plaits. We were in the same class at the last year of my Advanced level and I remember walking together as a group to a tuition class. Suwendrini was a good athlete for the Goodchild house.

    May you find lasting comfort in the memories you treasure, and the knowledge that warmest thoughts and prayers are with you at this sad time.

    For they shall be comforted” Matthew 5:4

  6. Dear family members of Swendrini
    We walked together to school from Somasundaram Lane and sat next to each other in Grade 8. I cannot forget her charming personality and little giggles when we had fun in school. Never had a chance to meet her after school years but I will never forget her sweet face. May God give you all strength to overcome the loss of dear Swendrini.
